Natural stone is easy to live with. Beyond regular use, no special care is required—simply wipe down with dish soap and water after use. Avoid harsh chemicals, vinegar, and abrasive cleaners.
We are often asked about regular maintenance and the application of stone sealers. Natural stone does not require regular sealing when properly selected, installed, and cared for.
Sealed Stone
Stone should be sealed upon installation and typically depending on use, resealed every 15 - 20 years.
Sealing should only be repeated when necessary, such as when the stone begins to show signs of absorbing liquids. The frequency of resealing depends on the type of stone, its application, and the level of use.
