Since opening Matrix Marble & Stone in 1980, sustainability has been our way of life. Processing and fabricating locally quarried Marbles from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
We make sustainable, 100% natural products from locally quarried white, grey, and black Marbles. Beautiful, high quality products that will add an authentically distinctive look to your project and can last forever. We are mindful of our resources and energy consumption, and we are continually looking for more efficient ways to manufacture our products. The footprint of the two Vancouver Island Marble quarries are small with respectful and diligent reclamation practices in place.

If your project is within 500-mile radius of the Vancouver Island Marble Quarries, you qualify for LEED points. LEED is a third-party certification program and an internationally accepted benchmark for design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. Markets like Vancouver BC, Vancouver Island, Calgary, and Seattle are within this 500-mile radius.
More often clients are asking their architects, builders, and designers to use products that will help them acquire LEED certification. The leadership in the Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
